I did do all the parts, but I had originally recorded the drums on an old cheap Yamaha electric pad thing. I met someone online years ago who remastered the recording and redid the drums.
I’ve shared my music like 3 times in the last decade. I mostly just do it for me and for my people when I kick the bucket, in case they want it. I know my son does. He wants everything, even all of the hours and hours of recordings where I was trying to come up with something.

Heck my mom saved two but they’re not in the quality I put them in. My ex called her and said I was deleting them so she rushed to save what she could and got those.
I was in a very bad place back then. Actually ended up being diagnosed with cannabis induced psychosis by the time it was all over.

Hell yeah man, good stuff! If you do end up putting your stuff on the streaming services, don’t forget about all the stuff you gotta do to collect royalties, this is what’s holding me back from releasing my music lol
It blows my mind that anyone would be interested. I’ve spent 25 years doing this quietly and barely showing anyone. Most of these are old enough to drink haha.
I dig it, kinda got an Iron + Wine/early Radiohead feel. But yeah, you never know who’s gonna be into your music unless you put it out there! I made a post a few weeks ago on the various “AskLemmy” comms, asking if it was cool to promote a little bit here, everyone seemed cool with it, so when I can scrounge up the cash for the things on that list I linked, I’m gonna be posting stuff here too lol
I know this is sacrilege, but I was always a big fan of the hits from Radiohead. Iron and wine, endless numbered days, I think is the name of the record I have had sitting on the shelf for like 20 years, man. That had a huge impact on me.

Just coming to add a +1 on the YouTube links, I don’t download random files from mega, but I’ll listen to anything you have on YT, Spotify, or any FOSS counterparts.
Those YT links you’ve posted already sound great! This definitely would have been my exact vibe in 2010, but it’s definitely going into the car Playlist now.
Don’t be afraid of longer songs, if they’ve got focus and purpose, they’ll hold up. One of my favorite songs back in the day was 22 minutes and 20ish seconds long. Unfortunately it’s a religious Christian song (that all the old people assumed was satanic because they couldn’t be bothered to try listening to lyrics) so I don’t care for the words much anymore, but the guitar is still banger.
Seriously get this stuff up on Spotify, also you should re record this stuff with better audio equipment. The stuff they have now, even the cheap stuff from Amazon is really good.

It’s been 15 years since anyone has heard a lot this stuff. Most of it was family just being nice.
