If you enable the covert images to webp setting, that image will load properly. Tap on that link to turn it on. I’m guessing the app just needs to add support for that avid file format.

Someone mentioned they weren’t getting an update despite being on the beta but after leaving and rejoining, they saw the update button. If you know there should be an update, perhaps doing that might work.

Yeah, I still see it in 415. I thought because they were labelled native and not polling that they were tied to the Piefed community notification system. I cleared storage and added both accounts before restoring settings but the alerts weren’t there. I’ve seen things(even UI elements like the reaction button on my Lemmy account) cross accounts weirdly and alerts seems to in some case. And restoring settings brought the alerts back so let me know if you want a copy to check out.

I’ll just remove the alerts and add it on my Piefed account. Maybe sometime in the future the alert system could tie into the native Lemmy and Piefed ones, if that’s possible.

EDIT: Oh so it is connected to the Piefed notification system. Connect just currently doesn’t check if you have any community notifications. So turning them off on mobile won’t remove them in Connect. And turning any on on mobile won’t automatically get them added in Connect.

Just noticed an error saying I cannot vote on RSS item when I followed the message for this reply and tried to upvote your comment. Upvoting through the feed is fine but there seems to be an issue with interactions when viewing through messages. Earlier I noticed that after I posted a reply, the app didn’t show the reply in the post and I replied after going through a alert of a new post.

EDIT: Yeah, it happened again, didn’t see this reply after I made it. Had to refresh the post.

I’m on 407 and the All and Local feed won’t load fully with a grey bar cutting through about half the screen. This is only in list view; card view is fine.

I’m on 406 and if I try to change it to anything, after reopening the app, it switches back to Hide.

I’ve had that but not recently. What version are you on? And just to confirm, you’re not using offline mode right?

If you switch to the light theme you’ll see the sort button lacks most button appearance properties, that’s why it stands out. The join button actually has some shading but it’s obscured in AMOLED.

My bad. So on the light theme, the spoiler remains in white text and that’s why you’re not seeing it. I switched to the light theme and saw the same thing. It should be a simple fix so hopefully the dev will push out an update in the coming days.

This is what I see on v1.0.401. The spoiler tags are shown and tapping on them reveals the alt text. Which version are you on? Maybe this is an issue in an older version?

I meant Settings in Connect. It’s an app specific feature so it won’t take effect on the web version.

That can be toggled by going into the block list in Settings. I can’t link to it but the option is near the top of the block list.

I’ve noticed this too and it seems to appear under certain conditions that I haven’t figured out. It is infrequent but I think it’s loading the “default” feed and that seems to disregard instance blocking. I’ve noticed this with only All but that’s mostly what I view so perhaps it could affect other feeds.

Enable the always trust domains setting to stop getting that prompt. Tap on that link to go to the setting.

Perhaps the addition of a new feature to censor be satisfactory? It seems like a more granular options to block content can augment and coexist the current and immediate effect of blocking users or communities.

I was sure the culprit was 2FA since that’s the only real thing I can think of that’s different with this account but nope. Even after clearing the storage and logging in fresh, the modlog loads up empty for this particular account. I can just switch accounts if I need to look at the modlog but this one’s a head scratcher.

Seems like all instances and communities. Tried logging into my .world account and it works fine. They both should be using the same settings so I wonder what the issue is. Will update if I can pinpoint it.

The sort method changing to Hot for posts when you select the same current method is still reproducible in 399. Actually, you just need to revisit a post for the same thing to happen.

New filters are showing up on the modlog but other than that it’s still not loading anything for me.

All of the issues with keyword filters seem to be fixed though. And it’ll be nice to quickly see deleted comments.

I would venture to guess the previous export may not have resulted in a generated file to now find and import. But I would wait on dev response as I could be completely wrong.

What happens when you set a default directory and then try exporting?

EDIT: The file name for the exported file is “connect-settings.json” if you do a search of the device to try and find it.

I think the default is the Download folder? Or maybe Documents? At the bottom of settings, there’s an option to specify the default folder; so if that’s set then that’s where it should be.
