Yeah, the modern series peaked with Ys 8, then it’s been downhill from there
Modern Falcom is not in a very good shape, creatively. A lot of their more recent output is lacking in “soul” so to speak: an intrinsic reason for existing as art work.
Their games are still mostly fun, mind you, but if you seek something more it feels a bit lacking.
I mostly dropped falcom games as a result, but their older games are good

I heard it is good, I got very weary following CS2 and CS4 especially. I heard bad things about daybreak 2. To each their own 😊
