They’re not the Simpsons. They’re not predicting stuff or anything. They just think of the craziest reality possible, and then reality turns out worse.
You know that the swimming pool on the titanic was built so well, that it’s still full to this day?

I guess people aren’t getting the joke…

🎶"There goes my hero, watch it as it goes, there goes my hero, it’s my concealed carry"🎶

To be fair, while wearing one you can feel someone lightly patting you on the chest. I’m sure he did feel it but no way on earth did it hurt.

“Shhhh we don’t talk about that in these parts, Dr. Von Braun.”

Sounds like either a prank, or hazing. I’m like 55/45 on that.

They cannot be ignored. The rolling average is far too long to be taken seriously, and only benefits the heaviest polluters. It also undermines the drastic changes needed and how quickly we need to implement them. I understand the need for a rolling average for the sake of science, but 5 years should suffice. It would show a much better and more useful statistic than 3 fucking decades. At 5 years it would be far more precise, and would even show slowdowns in heating (mostly just la niña). You’re doing the work of polluters by making that argument. If nothing else there should be several metrics, rolling 5, 10, 15, and 30. To claim “we haven’t hit 1.5c yet” is only technically true.

We have a poultry/pig processing plant in town that pays $14/hr starting. Which is less than 2 x the minimum wage. Which isn’t even remotely close to a living wage in any neighboring counties 2 deep at least. I eat at a restaurant where a guy works his second job that he needs to survive. According to him (I can’t nor do I care to confirm) he lives with his girlfriend and two roommates, the roommates also all work at the same facility and also all have 2nd jobs.

Judges? Bing! Guess they’re going to count it.

Really? I thought that’d be the center square.

I’d be more concerned about society lasting that long. I know fallout 5 won’t launch because well be living it by then. Maybe not necessarily as radioactive, but there’s no way society is functioning 15 years from now when the logical timeframe that 5 would be done. I’m confident we’ll see TES VI.

Oh shit, yeah that wouldn’t be good at all then. Like a galactic deli slicer. Time to take some X, listen to edm and get the glow sticks out.

But don’t the beams usually get shot out through the north and South poles of the black hole? Far from where we are, on the outer part of one of the arms?

Man, I can’t wait to see this movie

If something like that happened with our black hole, how long would it take to be visible to us, and how cool would it be?

I switch around a lot and was considering getting it for a month but then the Colbert thing happened and now this? Never again.
Yeah but to say they haven’t made a good car in 20 years is absurd. I’m an MX-5 guy myself.
