      Especially all the plastic waste. It’s typically almost impossible to recycle, and it’s pretty much pure fuel.

      I do think that paper waste and organic waste is actually recycled most of the time, though

    In the EU, we act to reduce waste and increase recycling with innovative laws and funding for industry.

    The most recent “act” was to extend the label “recycled” to plastics with 2.5% re-used content. That’s embarassing.

    Corporations generate 5 tonnes of waste per capita, you mean. Don’t put that evil on me, if it was up to me half of them would be shut down.

    The linked resource says that 60% of household waste goes to landfills, though, which is definitely a big issue.
