There are plenty of dog breeds all over that have been bred for desired traits. Somebody tell the Brits that history didn’t begin with them sticking flags in the ground.
Hello. I’ve been silenced, removed and blocked enough on lemmy dot ml for being a filthy leftist but not a falling in line defending totalitarian states full blown authoritarian communist. Sooo I’m blocking everything from lemmy dot ml so I don’t have to be bothered with any more of that nonsense. If you are on lemmy dot ml and commenting on me I will not see it. Ta ta.

If this post is intended as discussion material; No, not as long that I have my stationary computer that fills my gaming needs.

I think that’s the same game I queued up for like 90 mins at a computer fair to have a few minutes of very confused playtime and that was it.

I remember trying the first VR headset game 1990 that ran on a Commodore Amiga in like 7 fps and was terrible in every way.

Back in the day scanners were not the table model that is obsolete today but were drum scanners or hand scanners of which the latter was a hammerhead mouse with a horizontal optical sensor and regular computer mice used balls for tracking.
Xennial here. I’m glad to stay out of this manufactured generational conflict drama.
I’ve been called boomer and merrily laugh in the face of the kids that think they are just as clever that I thought I was in their age.
Calling everything AI is the new “Fake!”

Back in the nineties I was told off that Windows users are fanatical to their OS by a girl with one single sticker on her bicycle and it was the Apple logo.
We worked in the same music studio with exclusively Apple computers and my money job was administration of an office with mixed Windows and Linux and BSD environment.
I never had problems with either OS but I did have problems with Apple hardware being 2-3x the price for performance back in the days when performance mattered.
I dunno if she mistook some single mouse button banter as something personal or what. Needless to say she didn’t take it well when I laughed it off and told her I don’t decorate anything with neither penguins or the Windows logo.

The rest of the world has done various responses to the American trade war. Most everybody else has found other partners to do business with and those that haven’t are soon about to. America is not hurting other countries economically as much as they are hurting themselves. The entire ICE thing is terrible and it is too bad the government agencies have given in and that the military seems to be rolling with it too. But it is still domestic affairs as long there isn’t any proof of concentration camps or massacres or the like. We have lots of empathy for the people in America suffering from all of this.
But then again…
You guys have free elections and this is your democratically elected leader doing what he promised to do. You guys had him elected after he staged a failed coup once already. What do you expect the rest of the world to do about it? To save you guys from yourselves?
Sorry, dude. We’re busy dealing with our own national problems, trying to block Chat Control in EU, support Ukraine and deal with the entire Russia scenario, try to stop the genocide in Gaza, and a bazillion other more pressing things than dealing with problems America had caused for itself.
The finale of Martyrscome to mind.
I was just thinking that instead of being annoyed of corporate AI customer service we should just cost them lots of money by random chitchat with their LLM chatbots.

Everything is easy when you know how to bend spacetime.
Oops, I’m sorry. I’d keep investigating that avenue though. Pain or fear of pain. Or fear of something else.
I’m thinking pain too, or fear of pain. I’d say OP needs to take the dog to the vet for a proper exam instead of speculations by us strangers on the internet.
I know several owners of cats that have tags. I know at least one with a proper GPS transmitter on the cat collar.
lemmy.ml is good to avoid not only for political reasons but people that are nuts enough to defend genocide for countries they have on their team are not to be trusted with much anything else either. Users are cultists that politicise, brigade and harass and community mods on lemmy.ml adopt old school Soviet style silencing of thoughts and discussion other than the state approved.
Before you are making assumptions, I’m a leftie and have been for longer than most of the users there have been alive, but I’m not an authoritarian communist so apparently my thoughts are dangerous for the believers to hear.
Wherever you have your account you can block other instances and everything from selected domain names. My Fediverse experience is so much better after consequently filtering out everything lemmy.ml on every account and instance I’m on and I’d recommend it for everybody.

And build a submarine of them.
Suggestion: Describe and moderate it for fine arts or it will be flooded with furry drawings and fanart.
I’ve decided long ago to not use libraries or other packages with any remotely sexually suggestive anime/furry mascots or graphics in the repo or docs or even developers avatars. I prefer we work with a less perfect fit and do what we must for our needs.
Fuck me if I’m in a business meeting and a higher up or client decides to look something in the spec up and lands on that GitHub page. No way I’m interested in explaining or justifying any of it because why would I.
