it’s easier for them to hit that 22% solve rate if they don’t have to do any actual work.

I’ve grown my hair out several times over the years and this is the most correct answer. Currently my hair at my preferred length: long enough I can put it in a tail but not so long that my back doesn’t pinch it against a chair.
beans, beans, they’re good for your heart the more you eat, the more you fart

talking about audio processing issues, do you have problems with being able to like prioritize the audio input? Like background noise feels just as loud as the conversation you’re trying to have. And if someone else is close enough for you to pick up their conversation as well, oh boy, is that a toughie

I can tell you from experience that I absolutely notice when police do this to me and it absolutely feels like a threat. Being a police officer in the US isn’t even close to being the most dangerous profession but they treat every interaction as if this will be the one that kills them.

cue all the D’Amro Land jokes

the Super Bowl is just a bunch of burly guys pressing tightly against another group of burly guys trying to prove who is best at handling balls all to win jewelry and a purse.

don’t forget back room deals!

if this guy was still in charge, he’d probably encourage more people to travel to the games because “seats might become available suddenly”

I think removing their union protections (I’m a union member and I don’t think they should be afforded the same types of protections since they’re not labor, they’re the armed section of government who are the only ones allowed to use force on the citizens) and making them carry insurance would be a start. Then, moving their budget to do something about the fact that so many of their calls are to deal with mental health crises which they’re not trained for. Plus, for as large as their budgets are, I’d expect better results in solving crimes. Lots of police departments average something like 25% solve rate which includes things like when people turn themselves in.

There are plenty of us who enjoy board and card games. I know others have suggested TTRPGs, but those can have an extra layer of anxiety (for me at least) because of all the extra social stuff that goes along with it. Board games typically go faster and each has it’s own rules, so you can find one that suits your needs or even one that is themed around another interest you have.

sometimes I go to fights in hopes that a hockey game will break out

it’s funny that in a country where we have a Second Amendment right to bear arms (and the police are dressed/armed as though that’s their normal everyday interaction) yet a sandwich is seen as a threat.

am I supposed to believe that those cans are holy hand grenades?
