I’ve linked to the start of the live discussion, as I reckon 8 pages of pre-release speculation is a bit much for most people, but YMMV.

My initial thought is that George Fouracres is the standout performer in this episode, but given that he has plenty of sketch and “proper” stage experience he’s got a big headstart on some of the stand-ups. He provided my two big laughs, one in the Hamnet sketch, and in the final “45 Seconds…”. Emma Sidi also does well with her one main character. Post-Fast Show, the sketches do seem very slow and dragged out; that’s the SNL way, it seems.

Refusing to use a condom is a massive red flag. Yes, they reduce sensation, but they also protect both parties from significant health risks. An IUD is irrelevant to him at this stage

Always use a condom until you have both tested clear and are committed to each other. If your relationship is poly, then condom use and testing is required for every new partner, and it’s sensible to have everyone retested when someone new comes into the relationship.

I’d personally be concerned about their behaviour, either then trying to coerce you into unprotected sex, or being a whiny shit refusing to use a condom. Both of these would make me consider withdrawing consent, but I’m a stickler for enthusiasm at all stages.

Evil Dead. I love the original trilogy, the TV show was awesome and the new ones are great as well. I wish there was a truly great videogame but what we have is fine, I guess.

There’s only a bath, shower and sink in this room. Any pooping should take place in the WC next door. If that changes, I’ll have more concerns than fan niose.

You have my sympathies. Our hall, stairs and landing have textured plaster on the walls above the dado rail. We used a random orbital sander to take the worst peaks down and then skimmed over. Sanded when dry, re-skimmed, sanded, primed then two coats of paint. A one week job took three. It still looks a bit shit, but it’s way better than it was. We are still finding bits of the dust when we move a bit of furniture.

We have a seperate WC, so those more personal noises aren’t an issue, thankfully.

It’s mainly steam removal and condensation reduction that we need. After my shower this morning, it seems like it’s a successful upgrade.

My high tech smartphone sound meter read 65dB yesterday and 50 today. That’s scientific enough for me.

The main issue for mine was that it resonated with the ceiling panels, meaning there was a loud vibration that could be heard in other rooms. The noise from the new fan is just the whooshing of the air, no vibrations at all, and when the door is closed it’s almost inaudible.

Not exactly easy, as the part of the attic I was working in is not boarded, so lots of twisting to get angles for screwdrivers etc. The existing ducting was long enough that it easily accomodated the new fan. Snips and zip-ties FTW. Took an hour and a half and I managed to strip the head of the last screw I put in to secure the new fan into the bracket holding it onto the rafters. That is also future me’s problem.

When we moved in, the first room we renovated had this same paper, but it had been covered with vinyl paint. We ended up getting it re-boarded and skimmed. Life’s too short to strip off that shit.

Mr Bean. Popular around the world and dialogue free, so no localisation costs. He’s probably been seen more than any other single character as it’s so easy for anyone to understand what’s going on. Certainly a contender for most watched, but maybe not most played, as there’s not as many episodes as many long running series, so you can watch every episode in a single day, rather than the weeks it would take to plod through the whole of The Simpsons.

I expect it’s not an import, but produced under license somwhere in Europe. There’s big brewing operations in UK and Croatia that makes it.

I bought a Poco X3 NFC for £200ish in Dec 2020. I’ve been bored of the phone for a few months and started looking around for a new one, but there’s nothing out there that seems worth the “upgrade”, certainly in a similar price bracket. I’d generally lose a headphone jack and/or an SD card slot and gain erm… a more up to date Android version, I guess. I’d maybe get a better camera, but given my aging eyes and lack of skill are probably the limiting factors in my photography, I don’t realy see the benefit. I only play puzzle-type games and don’t do anything particularly graphic intensive, so where’s the incentive to subject myself to even more intrusive AI nonsense and built in adverts that seem to be unavoidable in budget phones.

Leffe blonde LA (0.5%, i think) is awesome, miles better than most. I find the Guinness LA a bit bland, lacking in the aftertaste and a bit watery.
