Justin Trudeau tried to get rid of plastic packaging and plastic bags, from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Unfortunately, the oil industry sued him. And they were cheered on by Alberta leader Danielle Smith. During the last election, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre vowed to get rid of the ban. Basically, they argue people should not worry about plastics. They seem sincere. They genuinely believe that. The appeal court decision has still not been issued.
