Whatever you do, make sure you try the next one! Rise is up there as one of my fav games of recent years, its so satisfying. And considered by 99% of Tomb Raider fans (of the Survivor trilogy) as the best they did.

Heroic and Junk Store: neither of them use Epic’s Launcher in the background to play the game.
I love the ‘Survivor’ trilogy though, all three games are amazing, Rise is everyone’s fav for a reason, too. The second is by far the best of the games, but…don’t expect too many puzzles, they really are action first (and for me, that’s a good thing!)

Do we count emulation in the backlog? Because my ready-to-play-with-HD-texture-packs ROMs are a bit like a scary shape under the bed for small children. It is lurking and endless in a Lovecraftian way.
As is my GOG collection too, tbh.

There was a GIF that showed it all flowing in and working as packaging, but it was like 32MB and that’s apparently too big in size for Mastodon to cope with :(
Ironically I haven’t ever bought any charity/bundles from anywhere (Humble/Fanatical), so I’m wondering whether this might be the one place that hooks me with them!
Choosing GOG over Steam tends to make me have fewer options with this kinda thing

That’s what makes me feel like it’s not my kinda game. Aside form a heavily modded Stardew, the whole build/craft/survive genres never do it for me. I get distracted way too quickly!

At least by now we can be pretty certain how long it lasts for. The old Denuvo contracts where it was a once-off payment for indefinite protection are long done with now. These days its a high price for a certain amount of time, and almost everyone bar SEGA drop that after the date, if sales don’t continue to be solid.
I hate that some people defend it. I know why its important, but it sure doesn’t help games.
Its dead simple. Make dummy accounts and vote! You don’t need a Bond-esque villain lair to have this done, just some fans who think they can game the system.
I hope they change the requirements to vote, perhaps having two paid games being necessary before being able to vote would make this kind of action impossible.

I still use both, Revolt has a very small team, so changes and improvements are slow going. But to me its really great. Its basically cloned Discord’s look and feel, but without all the nonsense attached.
I use Matrix and Revolt daily, there’s even a nice community-made Android app for it, called Clerotri you can grab from GitHub :)
