4·2 年前My current situation doesn’t leave me much time to be as active as I used to, got way more work and less time to be online, which is a shame, not a fan of so much mandatory grass touching. I miss being able to discuss with and see the thoughts of fellow comrades as much.
A film series on Castro would be like inverse James Bond, where the bad guys are the intelligence agencies and Castro is the suave womanizing hero who always wins.
Citizen Sleeper is an excellent example of this, if you haven’t tried it out. Not a simulation per se but it captures the feeling quite well.
Free rent in liberal heads too
Cuba, Vietnam, China, the Soviet Union, and plenty more, but I have a feeling you don’t know what you’re talking about.

10·2 年前Why do the rest of us measure our current year based on the birth of a religious figure who may or may not have existed, who has little to no connection to our culture or society? It’s one of the curious things about how we keep time in the rest of the world.
I see this being said a lot but this is not true. There are a lot of communists in India, true, but this is just a consequence of the massive population. In relation to all the other political parties and groups, they account for barely 1% of the political power in the country.
What major purge of communists are you speaking of?

Comradeship // Freechat@lemmygrad.ml•Why does the right have a monopoly on paganism?
5·2 年前Does Chinese folk religion count as paganism? It’s the belief in several gods, or a pantheon, that constitutes a pagan religion. Its confusing what counts and doesn’t, but It’s likely because “paganism” is a European term which only really fits for their dichotomy of “one god versus many gods”.

Comradeship // Freechat@lemmygrad.ml•Why does the right have a monopoly on paganism?
7·2 年前I am fairly certain when they say Paganism they were talking specifically about European paganism, such as in old Norse and German culture.
funny enough it’s mainly the French influence that did this to English, it was pronounced a lot more like the way its spelled before that.

8·2 年前Have had recent interactions with some and they tend to be pretty backward in their views on queer people, buying into the idea of it being part of some western agenda to “subvert” culture in the global south.

10·2 年前Does Lemmygrad have an official statement on third worldists? Are they considered more as Ultras or Reactionaries?

Death to NATO@lemmygrad.ml•Imagining the Unimaginable: What Happens if Ukraine Can’t Beat Russia?111·2 年前Neither was Iraq though. Yet they managed to destroy it nonetheless. Either way It’s more complex than the size of the countries involved, especially in modern warfare.

“It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.”

Death to NATO@lemmygrad.ml•The U.S. Army War College* has released a brief overview of "Lessons from the War in Ukraine".4·2 年前I suppose it depends on what they’re fighting for. If losing means an existential threat, then I’d imagine quite a lot would want to join up, since it would be a necessity. Winning on the other hand doesn’t really achieve much for the average westerner, only the ruling class.

I’ve been so damn busy but I can’t not tune in to the 'Grad on occasion when I come across lib brainrot and need to find some sanity. Thank you comrades for giving me that space.
