@wako Wenn man an etwas Eigenständiges denkt dürfte man sich nicht so sehr and bekannte Vorbilder orientieren sondern viel mehr an nötigen Funktionen für ein souveränes Handeln in dezentralen Netzwerken.

@caos Rollen- Berechtigungssystem, nomadische Identität und Single Sign-on (OWA) sind neben “Gruppen” wohl ganz wesentliche Funktionen für ein dezentrales Netzwerk die bei allen anderen Fedi Apps noch nicht angekommen sind… Warum nicht? Weil die DEVs sich noch zu sehr an zentralen Vorbildern orientieren…

Interessant wäre in dem Artikel zu diesen Funktionen und ihrer Bedeutung für das Fedi etwas zu erfahren.

Auch so was wie WebDAV ist ein Quantensprung

“Easy to host” wäre vielleicht am Ende noch eines der wichtigsten Kriterien

if you post somewhere on the Fediverse, and some Threads user bumps into it, they can follow you, and that will send all that data to Meta. And it looks to include data well beyond the post the Threads user saw.

and that is why #hubzilla and #streams have a permission system to avoid that… you can set up rules and decide who can see your posts and what they can to with it…
