Something that the article misses imo is that people who are desperate for a place to live would rather engage in non-consensual sex work to get/keep a place than report the landlord to the cops because then they get evicted and have to find another place to live. This could be largely solved by liquidating the landlord class, enacting rent caps, increasing social housing (perhaps confiscate some properties of the royals and convert them), etc, but those are of course all evil communist measures that would infringe on the rights of the landlord to do whatever they want.
