Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Who's really running Spacex, Tesla, and Twitter? You know, someone who actually keeps the lights on.
99·1 年前For SpaceX it has long been Gwynne Shotwell, she’s the reason it works in spite of Musk.

4·1 年前I thought DJI drones software locked the no fly zones? How did they manage to make it go into the area?
Not so sure about that. SpaceX already has the lander contract for Artemis and that’s their main source of funding for starship development.
I think Trump really wants a big achievement like America back in space on his record, even if he doesn’t deserve it.
Hopefully they don’t delay it again. They’re really taking their time.
Sorry, I wouldn’t have complained if I knew.

I would guess that the numbers for the south are skewed by Spanish speaking people.
Grok is like that AI door they had to smooth talk to get it to open for them

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Reddit is Dead. Lemmy is Dead. Everything is Dead.English
2·1 年前I think that intro (and the dead lemmy thumbnail) and the long part about reddit is why you got downvoted. People want to hear good things or constructive criticism about their niche platform and are kinda tired of reddit.
Try not to get discouraged about posting. I saw what you meant later in the article, it just came off badly from the intro materials.

6·1 年前I think single user instances and subscribing to communities doesn’t really work with lemmy because of the low volume and overlapping communities.
I actually read all new on my instance and just block anything I don’t want to see instead of subscribing. That was when communities come and go I still see the content. There are tradeoffs though you’ll have to come back later to see lots of comments usually.

251·1 年前Thanks for not using AI but why would you post on lemmy that you gave up on lemmy? Are you trying to get more people to leave?
Cool, 3rd street promenade is a fancy outdoor mall

Android@lemmy.world•What’s the difference between AI in mobile phones and regular smart Android features?English
6·1 年前The idea is there’s a chip that can run small models on device instead of using an external server over the internet.
Practically the difference is not much. You can get an LLM summary in the weather app etc, so exciting.
I know everyone says it but why would it be okay to not wash your pants just because they’re jeans? All pants get dirty the same amount regardless of material.
I wash mine regularly and don’t notice any change after washing but maybe I don’t buy “nice” jeans
I played this game on PC it was amazing

1·1 年前It could be blocking photos with exif data maybe? Just a guess. I would think they would just strip it instead.

Probably just go with SSD storage because 2T is fairly low for hard drives these days. Still a pretty good idea to do a mirror.
Pretty much any CPU that isn’t a raspberry pi will comfortably max out a gigabit Ethernet connection.
