  • Burning Wheel hands down.

-“Artha” system for codifying character goals into skill development. Characters pursuing their goals is the primary means of progression. 👌

    -Lethal and unbloated combat.

-Many types of magic with very diverse play styles.

-System for resolving in game in character arguments that tie into other systems.

The whole system is very thoughtfully produced and the systems all relate and tie back to Artha and character development.

The setting is very pulp/dark fantasy.

My playgroup will be returned to the game soon and offer for years to come.

  • Yeah AngryTurtle is a YouTuber.

I’m not 100% on if teamchat replaces proximity or not either. You can configure push to talk settings in the menu.

Scrapping legendary gear is better than using the scrip machine until you have learned every possible star for said weap/armour. If you already know every star, then scripping (or selling godrolls).

e.g. if you get a nocturnal, ap reduction, intelligence gun and you already know how to craft all 3 of those legendary mods it’s better to scip the weapon than to scrap it. If you are missing even one of those legendary mods I would scrap it.

  • Sea of Thieves.

There has never and will never be any pay to win. Everyone has access to all weapons at any time, no unlocking, just pure skill.

Up to 4 players on your team (ship) open servers with other players all sailing around all the time. You can get in an organic fight over treasure, or matchmake for ranked battles.

All of the progression is cosmetic based.

The devs have been adding content constantly since launch that fleshes out the game systems and makes for more interesting interaction.

I come back to this game all the time. Highly recommend.
