Linux Gaming@lemmy.ml•Valve puts the Steam Deck and Dock on sale again, get up to 20% off
3·2 years agoYeah, the Steam Decks sold by Kogan (as opposed to 3rd parties that are also sold on Kogan) is the safest bet.
I was a little too impatient and bought a 64GB model from a 3rd party on Catch instead. I got it about 1.5 weeks later and it’s been pretty great so far (roughly 8+ months). I think I waited about 2 weeks before upgrading the storage to 1TB though…

PC Gaming@kbin.social•Do you have any games that you like but you never finished?
4·3 years agoI’m having similar problems with Tears of the Kingdom. At first I really liked the changes to the game but after 5 - 10 hours I lost any enthusiasm to play it. I kind of remembered the experience playing BOTW which I really fought hard to try and like too.
It’s not just the weapon or combat system… I just struggled to care about anything after a while.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•[Help] How can I play games on my TV while still using the steam deck as a controller?
1·3 years agoNot what you’re asking for, but another option is to use a DualShock 4 controller which also supports touchpad (which can be divided in left/right if you want). I’ve found a pretty decent amount of community support and often use the touchpad (or gyro) for mouse games, though it’s not quite as comfortable as the Steam Deck .
(I’m sure Dualsense 5 works just as well but I can only speak to Dualshock 4, which you can find for the cost of a HDMI cable online).
