Y’a énormément de bonnes choses dans cette école, qui pour moi se partagent surtout entre petites classes, dialogue hyper poussé, et activités alternatives (genre ateliers pratiques, méthodes innovantes, etc.), mais par contre les relents de patriotisme, moralisme, méritocratie et autoritarisme, ça me fait vraiment gerber. Fondamentalement, ne pas chercher à adapter l’enseignement aux élèves mais d’attendre que les élèves s’y adaptent en maniant le bâton et la carotte, c’est déprimant. Et tout ça me chiffonne d’autant plus qu’au global, c’est un résultat positif qui porte ces travers là.

As shown by the hexbear comrade here, a lot of people just assume that no leader equals chaos. I find very hard to deconstruct this assumption, i think because it is deeply rooted in our societies. What i usually do is to point out that it’s not leaders that bring order, but organization. Most people then say “well yes, but you can’t have good organization without leaders”, which is more manageable to discuss, though most of the times people didnt change their mind in my experience. My main argument, which can take many forms, is that there are lot of times in our lives where we organize without leaders : in some families / homes, during trips with friends, when playing casual games or sports, even in some demos or movements.

It was a quite debated matter amongside law specialists, if i remember my time learning it. Like there was an obligation of community in the text, translated as an obligation of sexuality in jurisprudence since more than a century, but some recent interpretation of it were far more tolerant. I remember one case where judges ruled that a lesbian woman married to an asexual man for the apparences, and both living their sexual lives separately was still proper marriage because they cared for each other. Still was kind of an exception though, i’m happy to see it change officially at last.

It seems to be a real anthropology concept, and it kinda makes sense for my experience as french, i guess you could be in a relationship without saying “we are bf/gf”, though it seems odd to not talk about your feelings if the relationship goes on for multiple dates.
