  • Never heard of deepL. I just found reverso after duolingo started feeling like a chore. I tried looking for a new app to learn languages and reverso really pulled through, it actually just gives me common phrases i’m interested in. I’m finding it easier to learn the things i’m looking for.

Edit: after looking into it i might have to give deepL a shot aswell.

English evolved as an amalgamation of Germanic and Roman languages which made it easier for western europeans to learn.

I’m pretty sure the popularity of American movies had a huge part in it aswell because that’s how myself and most of the people i know learned english.

You guys helping to end WWII is also a fact that can’t be ignored as it solidified our respect to the U.S. but those days are long gone unfortunately…

  • I mean, as a well driller in Belgium i can say that she pushed hard against illegal drilling after Pano released a devastating episode two years back. She pushed for massive reforms and forced us to form a (beroepsvereniging) that would take responibility in order to minimize ecological damage.

She made my job twice as hard with these reforms but looking back at it… She did the right thing.

This time to me it seems like she is taking into account the grievances of our farmers, wether it’s for votes or genuine concern is imo besides the point. She’s doing her job and she’s one of the hardest working politicians in Belgium with an enormous understanding of the dossiers she manages.

I have a massive amount of respect for her because of it.
