A cubic meter is a thousand liters, Which seems to be a lot of water to use in a 12 hour period, statistics I found point at an average water consumption of 100 to 130 liters per day, so a regular consumer would never even get close to the point where it doubles, and therefore would be unaffected. So why do you think this would hurt poor people?

Edit: It appears to be an instance run by some weird right-wing guy.

News@lemmy.world•Americans increasingly concerned about government shutdown, more blame Republicans and Trump than Democrats: Poll
3·7 days agoA shutdown means that the government is insolvent, though. At some point, the funds will run dry without borrowing more. A default would likely send the US and world economy into a recession. Though could be that Trump will just bypass congress to borrow more money anyway.

Which generations did your research cover besides boomers? Did you cover the ones that came before boomers? I’m asking because the silent generation (1928-45) are already getting rare due to age, potentially requiring different methodology, and it could be that the difference in attitude you observed could be a temporal thing (Everyone older than t thinks one way, and those younger think another way).

Guys, please don’t shoot.
Well, I was looking at the election results in the Soviet Union. Here’s the result from 1946:

Now, these numbers seem sort of odd. Like, it’s a very good result for Bloc of Communists and Non-partisans, but a result this good seems to be impossible in a free election. So I’m wondering, am I missing something?
