So, if you have no side effects it makes sense to take it, but with side effects it can be unclear whether it will have a net positive impact on your quality of life.

I mean, sports don’t produce anything. Tourism and entertainment in general is wasting resources. You might get to shift the resources from tourists pockets to yours, but you didn’t manufacture anything useful.
