I’m not saying people shouldn’t use AC but we should focus more on building homes to stay cool. Living spaces used to be designed with airflow in mind and windows were constructed to optimize capturing the breeze. Window tech has come a long way as far as heat rejection but awnings used to be everywhere. People focus too much on looks vs functionality and tbh modern houses are ugly as hell imo. AC should be used in tandem with all of the other things we’ve learned. I go to houses all the time that have the windows that don’t work or have been nailed closed with no ceiling fans and it blows my mind. I live in Texas so I get escaping to the north. Statistics by definition is presenting empirical data and that’s what most people think of when they hear statistics. Most scientists studying statistics actually spend much more of their time developing and studying methods of data collection rather than crunching numbers. The reason for this is you cannot have meaning statistics if the data set is not accurate. And I love you all and your experiences matter but they bear no scientific weight.

One was for equal rights and the other was to overthrow the federal government. A lot of the perceived leniency for the protesters was due to the brutal arrests and a lack of Miranda rights. Don’t forget that they shot at the protesters and not the insurrectionists. The sentences were not out of the kindness of the judges hearts, it was due to the unlawful arrests.

Buddy at the time Sisco being Sisco was a big deal. It was not organic and it definitely wasn’t accepted by everyone. You need more context for the times when the past series came out. You don’t feel like the past series are pushing the boundaries because those boundaries have already been pushed. All of that stuff has been normalized and accepted in part because of Star Trek.

You have the right to not like the new Star Trek series but you can’t blame it on it being progressive and woke because that’s always been Star Treks MO.
