Just not at the same time, especially if they’re hard shell tortillas.
Hopefully not art school.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Heavy is the head that wears the crown
11·1 year agoFrom my experience it seems like BK chains can vary wildly depending on management- growing up I loved it, but in later years in different areas I never had good luck. It’s also the only franchise I’ve seen have a location go out of business (besides Long John Silvers).

Movies@lemmy.world•Not a single original film broke the box office top 15 in 2024English
10·1 year agoMatt Damon goes into this in an interview on Hot Ones, apparently in the past what you mention wasn’t as much of an issue due to the home market with DVD sales. But streaming doesn’t give that same return on investment, I think because the movie makers just get money from streaming services buying the rights and maybe some residuals, so theater profit is the main focus.

2·1 year agoSome TVs are nice and will automatically delay the audio so it syncs up, at least on mine. However it only does that for TV apps, unfortunately.

Games@lemmy.world•What are your favorite 1000+ hour games?English
8·1 year agoIf it clicks with you Monster Hunter (World+Iceborne’s a good starting point) can easily eat up hundreds of hours of your time grinding and doing endgame content, especially if you have a group to play with.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•People who leave motion blur on in games, why?
4·1 year agoI wouldn’t say I particularly prefer it, but a lot of the time I don’t mind it or notice it enough to turn it off. There have been a few games where it’s been egregious enough to disable it as soon as I can, though.
Seriously, feels like a crapshoot if I’m actually getting a quality product or garbage that falls apart. Doesn’t help that you can’t trust the reviews, fake reviews aside it feels like every other item tries to bribe you with a gift card for a 5-star review.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•AI just steals other people's labor
18·1 year agoMy favorites are the ones where he’s dedicating a whole comic to some petty personal grievance, like a grocery store being out of a product he had a coupon for.

2·1 year agoI wouldn’t worry too much about it, I’ve seen a similar up/downvote ratio in gaming posts for some reason, even for newly announced trailers. No idea why. Tends to improve over time, though, keep it up! Always enjoy seeing these posts.
Scratching that bit above the tail will surely be adorable and not ultra-violence.
Eating slower also pays off by reducing the chance for acid reflux.

Technology@lemmy.world•How Walmart, Delta, Chevron and Starbucks are using AI to monitor employee messagesEnglish
13·2 years agoAt least in the case of Walmart it’s more that the “work PCs” are many people’s personal phones. They’ve pushed employees to install work software with very invasive privacy permissions in lieu of providing dedicated handheld devices, you may notice this if you’re buying something age-restricted at self checkout and the clerk scans a QR code instead of entering an id on the terminal.

Games@lemmy.world•What's your favorite game you played this year? (Doesn't have to be released this year )English
3·2 years agoMan, when FFXVI is good it’s so damn good, it’s just a shame the side content felt so low budget in comparison. Really enjoyed my time regardless and curious how it shapes up once the major DLC expansion releases.

13·2 years agoTunic, such a great combination of classic Zelda with puzzles and mechanics that keep evolving in crazy ways, felt similar to FEZ by the end for the true ending. The manual mechanic is one of my favorite ones in a long time.
These comics are usually more just absurdism than anything else, and I love it.

Funny: Home of the Haha@lemmy.world•They were in the way though...
12·2 years agoI can’t think of a single time that adding ellipses to the end of your message actually made you sound badass.
It does get more character/plot-focused as it goes on, which ironically while I wish it stayed more like the first few episodes would probably appeal to you more in that sense.

My personal issue with the idea of “infinite NPC dialogue” is that it defeats the purpose of minor NPCs. They’re just there to give you a nudge in the right direction or give flavor text (“Bandit activity sure has been picking up!” or “The king? He’s probably in his castle to the west.”). Turning them into a chatbot just means a player potentially spending all their time there with nothing to gain that they couldn’t get from Character.AI instead of playing the game.
I’m also curious about the implementation. AI API use isn’t free so you’d likely be requiring players to pay if they don’t meet the hardware requirements to host locally.
