I can do that today when I talk to management about something else. I doubt they’ll do anything, they’d have to tear out some curb to make it accessible. Guests aren’t actually allowed to park on the property, but that isn’t something that should apply to people with mobility problems

One of my neighbors has a disabled parent that baby sits for them. I get so fucking annoyed when they’ve managed to park in “my” disabled parking spot if I go out for an errand. It’s stupid, and I feel like an asshole for feeling annoyed. There are two disabled spots for my building (roughly 48 units), and I would rather push my walker across the whole complex than park in the other spot, because it “belongs” to another neighbor who has less mobility than I do. We don’t have assigned parking and I kinda hate it lol

Grats on the raise! You two are obviously such a great match. I hope finances work out so she can stay at this facility!

It is actually legal. We know he used the pardon in a corrupt way, but the pardon being upheld for people who haven’t gone through court yet has legal precedent dating back to the civil war.

I have some Ruffwear boots that I pair with socks for my dog. I got them six years ago, so I’m not sure how the quality holds up now but I still use the boots every year in Montana. I will say I found their sizing guide to be true to size!

I’m pretty sure the way Trump wrote the pardon for Jan 6th (extremely vaguely) means this guy will get a pardon.

I love the enthusiasm! I am also not a fan of phone calls, and by now it has been too many years since I practiced. I should get back into it though. My local university has a Chinese club, I’ve been tempted to drop in a few times lol

I knew someone who was born in the states but lived with Korean family and extended family. They consider Korean to be their mother tongue, but when they visited Korea everyone said they had an American accent.
I studied Mandarin for a few years, and while I can’t speak it (no one to practice with, lol) I can sometimes pick out accents. I mean, I can tell when Australian is speaking Mandarin. So I’m sure it’s the same with an American accent. There’s nothing wrong with it, even in the states people can tell when you were raised in a different part of the country because of pronunciation or other language quirks.
Edit: this is a meme but it is one of my favorite examples of pronunciation differences
It’s funny how much language can change over time. It seemed like a weird quote until I saw who said it. Gotta love someone who can poke fun at themselves

It’s extra funny when you realize how filtered this picture is towards that Mar-a-Lago look. She’s definitely pretty, but she doesn’t look like this

I only own one Nintendo game on my Switch. I’m not going to sit here and pretend most of my games run great on it though. Slay the Spire and Stardew run well. But I’ve had quite a few crashes with Civilization and some hangs with Hades or Hollow Knight too

I lost my real ID and had to replace it last month. I brought my passport, assuming that was good enough to prove who I am, and the dmv website said that is an acceptable document.
They wouldn’t accept my fucking passport as proof of citizenship or anything else at the counter. This is after scanning my face to make sure it matched the photo on my lost ID lmao. I had to do the Karen thing and ask for a manager
