Looks like I need to pick up a book and practice reading more LOL thank you for the clarification!
I mean this as a sincere compliment when I say I thought I was scrolling past a photo of Marilyn for a moment - or someone doing a fabulous impersonation.
Either way you look amazing and like you’re living your best life - absolutely love that for you!

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•ISPs created so many fees that FCC will kill requirement to list them allEnglish
10·1 个月前I wonder if this is part of the reason why Cox stopped listing their small business plans and prices online. And then there’s the “promotional discount” that expires after a year or two, requiring you to call back in and threaten to cancel your service before they’ll give you back the same price you were already paying. It helps if you actually have other ISP options.
Can confirm that’s by design, AT&T employs the exact same strategy with their business customers and forcing them into “All-for-less” bundle package.
Need a POTS line? $95 + taxes and fees per month, local service only, call features extra.
But get a POTS line and a $15 a month 250mb data plan on a tablet? Suddenly the POTS lime is $30 including long distance and all call features you normally take for granted included (call waiting, call forwarding, etc).
Of course, that price is guaranteed for a year and you’ll have to call billing (sales) to get it sorted out again.
We’ve let ISP’s get away with murder in the U.S.

Transmasc@lemmy.blahaj.zone•genuine question, if for example, a guy likes a girl who later transitions into a guy, is he bi or pan?English
5·1 个月前If they’re still into/attracted to the person after transitioning, yeah I don’t see any reason why they couldn’t call themselves bi/pan.
Not strange to think that given the heteronormative upbringings may convince people they’re straight but they never had the right opportunity to explore it until then.
The important thing is you just let yourself love who you love.
Hope that helps!
If clothes are too big of a hurdle perhaps start with smaller steps?
Try a little lip gloss with a shine, a little nail polish, shave something you normally don’t, whatever feels right for YOU!
My best advice without knowing more is to experiment small, let yourself work your way up at your own pace.
The good news is there are no wrong answers here, let yourself explore and try to have as much fun as you can along the way.
Here for you if you want to talk <3

politics @lemmy.world•President Trump is only deploying troops to blue regions when most of the dangerous cities are in red states
33·3 个月前Missouri State government is so awful.
Vote for sick leave passes, state government shoots it down.
Vote for abortion rights passes, same deal.
We have politicians openly going against the will of the people as certified by majority vote and I’m so damn frustrated I don’t know what more I can do. I normally like to start with sensible options but we can’t even get what we want by voting for it!
I get the point the person replying to Hillary is trying to make, but it’s really not strange to think that in her current age she views a 15-year-old as a “little girl” the way we view Epstein, Trump, and the like as pedophiles for what they did to young teenagers of similar age.
Speaking of which, they release those Epstein files yet?
Adding to this:
Epstein had at least one trans victim, but the headlines seem to put a lot more emphasis on her gender identity rather than the atrocities Epstein was committing.

Highly recommend the Harley Quinn (2019) series if this is something that you’re interested in - It’s not exactly the plot but the focus is properly on Harley instead of Batman, The Joker, etc. (although it does take place in the DC universe and they play their roles)
Sun’s out, buns out - let those cheeks tan!

Technology@lemmy.world•Why is the manosphere on the rise? UN Women sounds the alarm over online misogynyEnglish
105·5 个月前Excellent example, and I sincerely appreciate you engaging in good faith discussion!
I agree that being masculine should by default not be a barrier - social or otherwise - from working with children.
How do we begin to change that as a society?
Although I can’t think of the solution myself, I also don’t see how advancing equality for feminine individuals would hold back equality for masculine individuals.
As mentioned in another comment, a lot of these problems seem to stem from the enforcement of dated gender norms.

5·5 个月前I do believe that this is essentially another symptom of a wider problem related to gender roles.
Certainly agree with you there and I really appreciate your nuanced take.
I think many miss the greater overarching message that forcing gender roles only serves to hold us back as a human race.

Technology@lemmy.world•Why is the manosphere on the rise? UN Women sounds the alarm over online misogynyEnglish
105·5 个月前positions like nurses or teachers are very female dominated.
I’m sure it varies from country to country, but in the US women could not study medicine until the late 1800’s and the US Army did not allow female physicians until 1940.
It’s not unlikely to think we have many people today who were alive before women practicing as physicians was common place.
I’m convinced it’s less of a matter of a group “dominating” a space but rather being pigeonholed/forced into it due to a lack of options, and these circumstances have impact that are still felt to this day.
I’m not sure about Italy but in a lot of the US becoming a school teacher requires a college degree and has wages that do not keep up with the cost of living.
You can look up articles of teachers losing their jobs for doing sex work or provocative modeling to earn extra income because their job does not pay enough.
Doesn’t seem like that big of a win? Unless I’m missing something?
Edit: re-read your reply and realized I did not read it properly the first time. That’ll teach me to comment in the wee hours LOL. I greatly appreciate your response! Leaving the original reply in place for the sake of context.

255·5 个月前I only see women being pushed into places with traditionally male majority, but not men being pushed into places with traditional female majority
Genuinely curious, got any examples of “traditional female majority places” that masculine individuals cannot enter/participate in?
You’re beautiful and will only get more stunning with time!
It’s not easy, but you’re doing it and we’re proud of you <3
Congrats! It’s not easy but every step counts <3
