There were a few mistakes in the old one, and JottaCloud was not represented. Feel that this version is 90% there!

Always great connecting with the people behind the product! Piwigo almost made it to the diagram (it is featured below).
The only reason it didn’t was that it felt more like a tool for professionals than the average user looking to manage/view their photos.

It could be that I am using a different definition, and hope I am wrong in this, as even without this feature, Immich is one of the best options available.
That said, I am referring to this feature: https://github.com/immich-app/immich/discussions/2836
If it has something similar, then I’ll happily consider it. To me, this is one of the more advanced (and well-liked) features of a photo app, which is why I have it there to help differentiate.
What does their current Memories feature do?

I completely misread their pricing page. I see that is more about donations now. Will correct this - thanks!

Right sorry… forgot the image.

This is the first version, so I expect there to be a few mistakes. Please flag and provide feedback if you notice any improvements.
Discovered some fantastic options through this research. Hopefully this guide can help you!

Check out the Office guide that goes into the potential issue for them. https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/513592fa-5a13-4181-a3ad-687785c0ad42.png

Thanks! Appreciate the support, makes the effort worth it :)

canva.com :) I’d highly recommend it.

Minimal changes from the previous one, besides minor cosmetic updates. But one that I am incredibly proud of as I learned about so many new amazing new options.

Sadly I don’t have that answer on the top of my head. Maybe ask in [email protected] to whether others might be able to help.

If DDGs is working, then no reason not to change. However, Qwant and Kagi often come up as top contendors.

The problem with that philosophy is that SearXNG is an aggregator, so if everyone moved to them… who would be paying for the engines that it aggregates?
I agree that no one should ever support a company. But rather establish a set of principles that you want the companies you use to follow, and show no loyalty if they break this.
It is actually the philosophy of [email protected].

It isn’t marked as less private. It is grayed out because it is not based in Europe. I personally use them as I find them the best option with what is out there.

Ecosia is a better balance between experience and independence. Mojeek sadly will be a hit in terms of quality of results.

Qwant is the closest to being independent and Non-US… I was recently told about StartPage being bought out by System1 (A US company)
Nothing that I can find, but please link if you find it.
