Knees aren’t guaranteed…
You put it out in the universe. You’re doomed to go through another one!
(I’ve been in IT for 10 years, I don’t wish this on my worst enemy, sorry for your luck.)

No that’s a different ideology. Not sure what it’s called.
True anar is no system at all period. Everything that happens happens and there’s no rhyme or reason for it. A bit like the ass backwards Murphy’s law people talk about. Like war without rules kind of.
What you are talking about is a collective source of responsibility that is shared amongst a community. You decide where your taxes go and what it funds, how it affects your life, and what the ruling body does with it.
I have no answers but I feel like that is a proper explanation.

I think one on daisy chained IEDs would be interesting. Most people don’t know that a lot of the explosive material used was either left from Russia in the 80s or was UXO fired in the country by the US during the start of the war. I had the unfortunate luck of encountering 5 155 rounds daisy chained - lucky I was back far enough to only sustained minor injuries.
That or how the US would pay locals to do mine sweeps for us. They’d been living with it so long they could locate and disarm them extremely efficiently.

Very well detailed and put together! We coupled the Rhinos with jammers in most vehicles as well so remote detonation wouldn’t work. Very nicely written!

I didn’t know about this. Thanks for informing me!
No joke. I still have mine from back in the day and I took notes on this shit and still have no idea what it’s about.

In the deepest pits of my soul - I hate you. I haven’t thought of that in 10 years damn it.
If you own it, you should be able to copy it for your enjoyment.
If it was or is critical to work, you should be able to copy it.
Licenses back when this all started were perpetual. I use it for the entirety of my life. So long as I breathe I have a license for it. Emulating that shouldn’t be illegal at all.
Compaq or Dell. Similar situation with microscopes. They required FireWire to work.

Have you played Judgement? It was supposed to be the successor to Yakuza.

I really liked the Yakuza games. They’ve improved a lot over the years, the story is engaging, and there’s tons of fun side stuff to do. Although the audio is all in Japanese, so you have to read subtitles.

I got called back in after “essential employees” became a thing during Covid. I’d been out for 3 days remote work. A month later everyone got called back.
When they found out I’d been back nearly a month before them they asked why I had to come back in.
“How do you know you have slaves if you can’t see them?”

As both an HP fan and Top Gear fan… no… I’m so sad about this.

I don’t think so. Maybe gods plan for that baby was abortion.
Holds up to me.

Harambe might still be kicking around…
Jokes aside your right.

Just that it’s fairly similar across other industries. It’s a pretty common thread in most industries when people try to force things through without planning properly.
Also I wasn’t ranting about other industries, just making a note that it occurs everywhere. Profit for profit sake has made a lot of industries worse, including the gaming industry.
Edit: do you think QA/QC and development work only occurs in the gaming industry?
I think most people are missing the point.
For work I wear the same free t-shirt to support “brand awareness” once a week.
It doesn’t matter if it’s man or woman making the statement this is what matters: what sad fucking life are you living to notice what I wear every day?
