I can’t imagine trying to flash software to my car; it would almost certainly be illegal in my jurisdiction (I can’t even retrofit LED lights on my Ford 🥲)

Good luck getting an auto manufacturer to allow you to customise your dash lol
Renault have been doing this for ages. I had a 2009 Mégane which gave the speed as a digital number. Fuel and oil temps were bars to either side. Revs was a physical dial.
It was such a great car, just a shame about the engineering…

I’ve got one in my living room now! The best thing about it is the demon who plays along with you.
Is D&D particularly popular in Cornwall?

3·1 year agoOre forebears’ masters were money-grubbing cunts, this is true. Let’s not pretend old matey in the pits was actively participating in the enactment of policies which caused death and emigration on scales unbeknownst before.
Our masters are now too, but at least they pretend not to be. Although they still don’t teach kids about the empire properly.
They have enough of those in their club already tbh.

Your reply is, from the perspective of a driver and a cyclist, the best advice.
I’d add that if you can afford it a jacket from proviz is an absolute life saver - as soon as any light hits then in the dark you become a beacon.
Well put.
Sometimes we need to abandon our principles to care for others. My goodness is less important than the wellbeing of those who are oppressed.
To be fair I grew up in a religious household so he was a bit of a folk hero for us.
He was an interesting chap.

1·1 year agoThis might just be it 🙃
It’s a shame that competition for this stuff is piracy or get shafted because I’m absolutely fine spending a reasonable sum on watching it but I can’t justify paying for Discovery+ - I just want to watch cycling not more reality TV!

Bicycling@lemmy.world•Where does everyone watch cycling races?English
1·1 year agoYeah this might be the way - it’s such a shame because on its own GCN+ was great (their awful attempt at a social media platform notwithstanding). Even if Discovery had a cycling only tier I wouldn’t mind as much - but I don’t give a toss about any of their other sport or content other than the cycling. My winters are much worse now I can’t watch the CX!
Disgraceful!
How many of them know who Bonhoeffer was though?
