39·4 months agoPayment processors should not get to police what kind of legal transactions people use their services for. No matter how much you dislike the particular product. And especially since they have an effective monopoly. If we let them go through with this, it would open the gateway for them to enact the kind of control over our consumption that should be exclusive to elected officials.

Anime@ani.social•Spring Anime Season Wrap-Up, Summer Kickoff, and Discussion Thread [2025, Week 27]English
4·4 months agoWhat I watched this season:
Gundam GQuuuuuux
- This could have needed a few more episodes to flesh out the character more
- As someone who hasn’t watched all of the original Gundam stuff, I missed out on a lots of the references and was confused at a few moments
- yuri-bait >:(
- otherwise a very fun watch tbh
Rock is A Lady’s Modesty
- super fun throughout!
Apothecary Diaries Season 2
- Loved the intrigue and the increased political scope this season
- Maomao be Maomaoing
To Be Hero X
- The animation is jaw-droppingly beautiful
- The first episodes instantly hook you
- The later stories didn’t grab me as hard but I’m gonna watch this to the end
The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom
- This one surprised me!
- I was expecting a run-of-the-mill otome slop story, but what I got was a revenge-plot fuelled by sisterly love
- Mia is best girl
- definitely one of the better otome out there

Fediverse@lemmy.world•[@fediverse](https://lemmy.world/c/fediverse) Have you ever wondered how Lemmy and Mastodon federate?English
5·6 months agoThis is a neat overview!! I like to federate my posts from microblogs as well, and did some tests.
Here are a few of my notes:
Viewing communities (from Mastodon) - that kind of depends? All communities I follow show up with their posts intact on mastodon (.social), but not when I use a different instance (e.g. mastodon.de) or software (examples: RenPy, Otome Games)
Viewing profiles (from Mastodon) - That also seems to depend on the instance. For example, here’s my profile as seen from mastodon.social. Viewing it from my Mastodon account, I can see all of the original posts and replies.
