‘Shitpost’ and ‘Shiptoast’ are similar (1 extra vowel and a pair of contiguous consonants switched) so the joke is a pun on the phrase ‘quality shitpost.’
It shows up in US Southeastern slang quite a bit. Usually it’s a bit stronger than ‘going to,’ ex. “I’m fixing to give him a piece of my mind.” ‘Fixings’ is also slang for side dishes here.
French philosophy is also responsible for our country’s system of government. Montisquieu argued for separation of powers, natural (inalienable) rights and the right to revolution comes from Locke, the social contract with individual liberties comes from Rousseau. Our constitution is a bunch of French philosophy shoved together into a very (for the time) unique Enlightenment-based government.

I’ve been a bit under the weather over the holidays, which has given me the opportunity to try some of the free games I’ve been accruing from Epic’s giveaways. Art of Rally was pretty good. Nice art style, active development, and an interesting concept rooted in historical events.

601·2 年前There’s a reason it did. Those fires were propelled by incredibly fast winds, and spread much faster than emergency services anticipated. It basically jumped 70 miles over the course of an hour.
Waffle House is a cheap American food chain that can be found in all southeastern areas, including low-income high-crime districts. Because of this, there are regularly news stories about people fighting at or in a waffle house. It’s become a meme.
