Man, the news about Efeso Collins is sad. I hope his family heard about it before it hit the news. Pretty disrespectful reporting if not.

Seconded!
Now I want pancakes…
Apple compote and cream is pretty good too.
Wait, what? Banana *and *cheese on toast, together? D:
It was alright… I think I just felt like seeing a movie, but for me there’s not much on at the moment (until the next Dune movie comes out anyway).
Nothing hugely exciting, but I do have the day off today so I went to see a movie. The Iron Claw - about a wrestling family. I’m not into wrestling at all, but I rate Jeremy Allen White as an actor after The Bear, and it was on at a convenient time. Plus it was cheap tickets + free popcorn day at my local theatre (Silky Otter), so that was a bonus.
Ugh, did not sleep. Today is going to be tough. At least things are still quiet at work from the holidays.

4·2 年前For sure! And a trumpet for pud.
The cicadas are finally coming out here, love their chirps. Now it’s proper summer.
Genius!
I suppose at some point I should take the Christmas tree down…

3·2 年前Kinda shitty response from the council, but good on the people who took the time to get it out of there.
Does look like a real design flaw though, for animals getting stuck like this, but also for rubbish accumulating there over time.
I wouldn’t expect one, but a bath was on my tick-list for when we bought this place. It’s so nice to have the option in winter.

2·2 年前Nah, the main tank isn’t accessible to them, just the fountain bit, and a shallow bowl at the top. No more kitchen puddles!

6·2 年前Got our cats one of those drinking water fountains - one cat is completely indifferent, but the other looooooooooooves it. She used to play with her water when it was in a bowl, dipping her paws in and flicking it everywhere, which was cute but quite messy… So I recommend it for any others out there with cats that play with their water more than drinking it.

4·2 年前Snow leopard! That’s pretty cool.
I haven’t been to a zoo in ages. Did the animals seem happy enough? The last ones I went to were overseas, and I found them pretty depressing tbh, but I hope the ones in NZ have better standards.

3·2 年前Oooof, yeah at least this ‘present’ was just cat biscuits that were likely just gobbled up too quickly, rather than anything that was recently alive. Small mercies!

7·2 年前Merry Christmas!
The cats really upped their present game this year - a puke in the laundry, and a puke on the coffee table (looks like it was gifted while running, given the impressive spread). I’m not very grateful. Good thing they’re cute!

Yeah, it’s quite a year for them already. Will be interesting to see what the party looks like in a few months’ time.
