    i love when people pretend the internet didn’t exist before twitter.

    people were literally posting that and you can still see it for yourself.

      There was an overwhelming support for the war on Iraq, especially in the media. I think only one or two US representatives voted against it, and maybe one British rep.

      I mean, the meme doesn’t disprove that. Like, it’s true that the internet did have people saying that. That said, modern social media and their algorithms have made the process (of misinformation) much more streamlined.
