Dark Reign from Marvel.

I absolutely ADORED that arc after Civil War. Hell I liked it MORE than Civil War. All the Dark teams, Thunderbolts really came into it’s own, and Osborn running the whole show as Iron Patriot was great. Dark Avengers, Dark X-Men…it was just brilliant. It also really turned Sentry into one of those “oh shit” characters.

I just remember buying every book that had Dark Reign on the title. read every single issue across various comics released for that arc, I loved it.

A dimension where everything takes places inside of a biological meat and bone and blood universe spanning monster. I think it’s come up a couple times in different media, the bloom in torment: tides of numenera is kinda like this. The worms living in Fry’s colon in Futurama touches on similar ideas. In comics I think the bleed in multiversity might be a little like that?

I really enjoyed The Witching Hour by Loeb and Bachalo. I guess it’s been 20 years or so now. I’ll have to go dig up my copy as it’s due for a reread.
