A retro shooter inspired by classics like Wolfenstein and Doom. Think of it as a tribute, a love letter to the games that defined a generation, with a few modern touches of my own. It’s tough, fast, and demands skill, just the way those old-school shooters did.

it’s not small, no, and they also didn’t even say that. but it’s also not the 150gb that modern AAA games are these days. for a lot of people in the US, where the government doesn’t give a shit about consumers, their broadband might be spotty or have download quotas.

For an FPS? Not ‘small’ but definitely nothing unusual or burdensome. In fact I don’t have any FPS games made in the last 7 years that are smaller.

Just a quick look at some of my currently installed games via Playnite shows the average for a modern FPS is pretty huge.

      • MGS:V - 29GB
      • Yakuza 0 - 24.7GB
      • Deadlock - 29.4GB
      • Wolf Old Blood - 32.6GB
      • TF 2 - 39GB
      • RoboCop - 37GB
      • Wolf New Collossus - 48GB
      • The Finals - 62GB
      • Doom (2016) - 68GB
      • Killing Floor 2 - 95GB
      • Helldivers 2 - 135GB

Yeah true, 18GB is small for a AAA game but this is a retro indie!

I’ve been playing it now. It’s ok. Definitely not a must play or anything but a decent bit of fun if you like boomer shooters, and the price is right.

Its like if Wolf 3D had a 2010 engine. But 2000s textures.

Killing Floor 2 was one of the most boring and soulless games I ever paid for. Any amount of money is too much.

Yes, I still have it installed on a spinning disk because storage is very low cost - but I think I’ve only played it maybe 3 times. Very uninteresting next to the competition. Will blow it away when I need the storage space for a different game eventually.
