Google is updating the Chrome web browser to automatically revoke notification permissions for websites that haven’t been visited recently, to reduce alert overload.

Has anyone ever let a website send them notifications?
My potential father in law is very good at it.
They are almost exclusively used predatorially to trick people into allowing them & serving them ads. Cookie banners have made clicking “okay” a reflex when visiting a site, and will get a lot of people if they can get the allow notifications pop-up first
