Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released the letter after Congress received the 2003 “birthday book” from Epstein’s lawyers, the Journal reported on Monday. The letter is dated three years before allegations of sex abuse by Epstein became public in 2006.

The letter contains text of a purported dialogue between Trump and Epstein in which Trump calls him a “pal” and says, “May every day be another wonderful secret.” The text sits within a crude sketch of the silhouette of a naked woman.

White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich denounced the release, saying the signature on the letter is not Trump’s and alluding to Trump’s lawsuit against the Journal’s parent company, News Corp.

The drawing and text of the letter is SO beyond creepy and damning, but it bothers me how overstated the “pubic hair” signature was by the mainstream media. From the reporting I saw, they made such a huge deal out of it… now that I see it, I genuinely wouldn’t even have interpretted his signature as pubes, given the spacing and the way his name is printed above the signature.

That said, the birthday card is still disgusting and horrifying, and it’s obvious what he was unsubtly alluding to

I think the more damning thing is the size of the breasts. They look rather prepubescent.

I agree too much was made out of the pubic hair thing in the media, but I think they do this deliberately, so there’s a sense of ‘relief’ afterwards of “ah ok, it wasn’t as bad as they first reported”

That’s the feeling I get. It also gives some weak level of cover/smokescreen. I could see a bad faith argument “he drew pubic hair so obviously they’re just talking about adult women”
