I built a Linux gaming PC with my kiddo recently and decided to go all AMD, despite the few % performance drop compared to similarly priced Nvidia cards, & much diminished raytrace ability. But I haven’t noticed the absence one tiny bit. Meanwhile, all drivers installed with the OS, no extra fiddling reqd, desktop integration is rock solid, no “Nvidia vs integrated” reboots required, sleep and suspend work, and it runs silent under load! Never going Nvidia again.
