Das Kalkül ist hier, dass mit und für die olympischen Spiele für ohnehin notwendige Infrastruktur Geld von Bund und Land fließt. Es geht dabei insbesondere um den Münchener S-Bahn Ring, aber auch z.B. das olympische Dorf könnte nach den Spielen zu dringend benötigten Sozialwohnungen umfunktioniert werden.
Letztendlich wäre das aber alles nur ein Schachzug, damit München mehr vom Kuchen ab bekommt, also damit Gelder die sonst woanders hin geflossen wären nach München gehen. Da macht auch zum Beispiel Markus Söder keinen Hehl raus, er hat gesagt: “Wenn die Mittel dann nicht nach München gehen, bekommt sie eine andere Stadt.”

Time zones are fine as they are. They are less confusing than having 23:00 be close to midnight in one place, early morning in another and noon in another place. It would also result in many places either changing the date at random times or having a different date in the morning and in the evening.

I took it a step further once: we were playing DSA (can’t recommend, I don’t like the system) and it has a spell called Objectovoco (German source, sorry).
