I think we did.
I tried Cane’s a few years back when it was just starting to open up in SoCal and I was underwhelmed. The fries were soggy, the chicken was okay and the bread was alright. I just couldn’t understand why there was a massive drive through line that rivals In n Out when there were so many better independent fried chicken restaurants around (Dave’s Hot Chicken, Howlin’ Ray’s, Jaxon’s Chicken, etc.).
That’s why they look like zeroes to reflect this fact.

124·2 years agoThe harder drugs only exist in an unregulated black market where criminals thrive. Legalize all drugs and let pharma companies make them to ensure purity and standardized doses. Sell them at a cheap price and watch the drug cartels crumble away as their blood money dries up.
I have a lot of fond memories with Jump Ultimate Stars in high school. I had a friend who was insanely good at it and could basically keep me in a combo loop throughout the match. The online gameplay was great for the DS back in the day with hardly any hiccups in connectivity. They really need to do a proper sequel to the game.
Final Fantasy VIII, Dishonored, and Xenogears. They all tend to stick in the back of my head long after playing them. Special mentions are Final Fantasy VI, FTL, and Bastion.

82·2 years agoTry the Samsung XCover 6 Pro. Ignore the criticisms of it not supporting 5G on T-Mobile networks since I use Metro PCS that piggybacks off of it and it runs just fine. Other than its rather large screen size, it feels like one of the earlier Android phones with a removable battery, expandable SD port, and the all important audio jack. It’s rather sad as consumers that one of the few models out there that have these features comes from a business phone line.

Don’t try arguing with these people. They’ve never had to deal with someone in a meth fueled psychosis where the slightest movement can be perceived as some kind of taunt or challenge to them.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Americans, how would you feel about making student loans completely illegal?
8·2 years agoAssuming nothing is done to curb the recent capitalist tendencies of universities to inflate tuition then yeah it would be mostly restricted to the wealthy. It might be possible that market forces would coerce them to become cheaper again in order to not end up getting shut down from lack of funding from lower enrollment though.
