7·6 天前I mainly got used games as a kid so I saw this screen far too much…
Also probably why I ran into a bunch of glitches, my earliest memories of playing racing games involved a lot of driving “off the map” before a new area loaded in. which sometimes it wouldn’t and just crash after a while. >.>
It depends entirely on the game and yes some games work with EAC on Steamdeck but not on Linux desktop…for some reason.
Ironsight on Steam (before it shut down) didn’t work on Linux for the longest time, The devs eventually enabled EAC through proton for about a year before making it Steamdeck only during the final months the servers were online.
And even using Steamdeck=1 in the launch commands didn’t fix that game for me. >.>
I do it the other way around, If you can install Linux yourself I can probably help you without ripping both our hair out.
The other side of that ignorance is if you can do simple tasks they also assume you have the skills to be the next big-tech genius.
The amount of times I’ve been asked to make someone a website or app…
Being “good with computers” is always relative, and to most people computers are basically black magic.
Here’s some stuff I’ve seen other people do.
Had a coworker buy a whole new laptop because their Google account had signed out and they couldn’t remember the password. (obviously buying a new laptop didn’t help)
My mother couldn’t figure out how to hang up a MS Teams call so she just closed the lid on her laptop, which she still assumes turns the whole PC off even after explaining to her multiple times it doesn’t…
My former boss call me into work on a day off to “recover” the main software we used since it had disappeared from the computer. It was still there, an update had just changed the desktop icon.
And most recently a buddy installed multiple viruses on their computer after I told them to ‘backup their files’ before doing a clean Windows install. I had forgot to mention that backing up their files just meant coping them to another drive…they immediately started searching up shady “file backup” programs from random sites on the internet.

3·28 天前Went back to try Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 for PS2 after getting into the series from the new game on Steam.
The driving is a lot more unforgiving than the new game but It started to grow on me the more I played it.

2·28 天前The games doing very well with new players but getting mixed reviews from longtime BF fans.
I installed Windows again on a 2nd SSD just to play the beta and honestly wasn’t impressed… undeniably an improvement over 2042, But what’s the point in settling for better then dogshit when I can still play the peak of the franchise? and play them on Linux!

662·29 天前Soulseek is I2P not Torrenting, but I’ve found it to be the best place to find music by a long shot.
Edit: It’s actually P2P not I2P

5·1 个月前Even if you don’t want it to to be…
Currently got my Sonic Adventure playthrough on pause because I can’t for the life of me catch that stupid frog in Big’s fishing mini game!
Only just found out about Omarchy the other day and it’s just a Hyperland config with a bunch of Ai shit pre-installed…
Why are people even talking about it?
Thought it was more a prison thing.
I use a DS4 and used a DS3 for years before that.
Using none Xbox controllers on PC used to be a pain, I remember the hoops I had to jump through to get my DS3 pad working with Windows 7. Now it’s easier than ever.
I actually didn’t like the DS4 controller for the longest time because of the thumb-sticks but found some replacements a while back that has the more comfy (to me) domed design of the earlier PS controllers.
Amazon Link, couldn’t find them sold anywhere else in the UK sadly…
This might have been just a me issue.
But I used to be a long time Total/Double Commander user on Windows Vista & 7. But sometime after I switched to Windows 10 it stopped letting me change the default file manager to anything other than explorer…
I use the split panel feature in dolphin a lot. the shortcut is F3 if you didn’t know already.
Started playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 again after being disappointed by the “remaster” which was just a THPS 3 and 4 map-pack without all the maps and a premium price tag…
Kinda did it backwards since I actually replayed THPS4 again after they announced the original single player mode wouldn’t be in 3+4 >.>

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•What's your favourite menu music in a game?English
3·2 个月前The main menu for Battlefield 3 on console is still the gold standard imo. Had atmosphere without being sacrificing usability.
Going off pure style points NFS Most Wanted 2005 always gets you in the right mood for the game, although having replayed it countless times I still fumble navigating the menus at times. So I’m aware it isn’t the most user friendly design.

And Battlefield 1
At least EA let us keep 4…for now.
