He should deduct 25% of zero. That will teach them. At some point, Fascists realize who has real power, these controllers could shut down the economy if they wanted to and they are not replaceable like lawyers.

Maybe they’ll pass a legislation that FORCES them to go back to work like Canada did with severely underpaid teachers

Average salary of teachers in AB is $105,000. Low end is $86,000. For 10 months, plus of course every possible holiday, and full pension after age 55.

The strike wasn’t even about salary, it was about overcrowded classrooms and lack of special needs services.

I’ve seen this come up a few times. Being forced via legislation to return to work. What does that mean? I can presume sentencing and prison. But I don’t know. How do you compel someone to work. Can’t they just resign? Isn’t it just slavery at that point? I don’t get it.

        Work or get fired.

Not sure where slaves make $105,000 a year and a full pension at 55.

I was asking earnestly. I don’t know how being compelled to work… works. I wasn’t sure if it was under threat of something other than being fired. My only context was “being forced to work”. I thought I’d made that clear with my previous comment.

I wasn’t suggesting that work is slavery or that under normal conditions they are slaves. I was merely speculating on the limited knowledge I had. Hence why I asked.
