Bret Hart being a miserable old vet, even if he’s right. Just another day.
Bret Hart has been a miserable old vet his entire career, too!
He is right, but damn he’s a curmudgeon. He’s my favorite wrestler ever and I don’t think I’d
needmeet him because it would be like meeting Eeyore.Edit: need -> meet
Pretty much lol
Unfortunate shadows on Bret’s pants there
Def not great lol
i mean he’s not wrong; a lot of the matches during his time in the attitude era weren’t great but they made up for it with presentation and theatrics.
Like Taker who made his entrance a minute or two longer if he knew the match was gonna be the shits so people ‘get their monies worth’.
ironically i think the one exception would be hell in a cell but again that wasn’t a great match but it was memorable enough to be great (albeit for not so great reasons since it took so much out of mick foley)
That was the same match I was thinking. I was a kid and a WCW fan. I didn’t realize Mankind and Cactus Jack where the same guy, but when I heard HHH was wrestling Cactus Jack, I made sure to go to the house of the kid whose dad new how to steal PPV from Direct TV.
you know now that I’m thinking about it…he’s right. I can’t recall a single Triple H match where I thought “oh man that was a banger when he went against…”
I mean the majority of his AE matches were run ins with DX. His time with Evolution wasn’t much better. He’s not like the Rock, Stone Cold, Foley, 'Taker, Michaels, Hart, etc where I can point to a fantastic match with one of them or several.
Hell I can’t even recall an awesome feud with Triple H vs whomever.
unironically had a banger with larry zbyszko though
I really enjoyed fully loaded was it? Against stone cold, 2/3 falls I think it was.
