My cats will smell and possibly lick non-meat items, but they won’t actually eat it if it’s not meat. The only exception is dry treats. I let them smell fruits and vegetables, that cats aren’t allergic to, and they don’t want to eat that stuff.
My orange cat goes nuts over spinach and broccoli, and will fight harder for those than he will for fresh tuna.
